How to Volunteer
Barb Food Mart operates an online order based food pantry with weekly distribution. We have a variety of shifts available, learn more below.
Interested in joining us? Register as a new volunteer and a staff member will contact you to get you scheduled.
Tuesday Order Packing
When: 9:30-11:00am
What: Prepare and pack online orders for families. Set up the pantry for distribution. Restock shelves. Pack special items for families.
Who: Open to ages 8 and up with and Adult, and Adult volunteers. Jobs for many abilities.
Wednesday Order Packing
When: 9:30-11:00am
What: Prepare and pack online orders for families. Set up the pantry for distribution. Restock shelves. Pack special items for families.
Who: Open to ages 8 and up with and Adult, and Adult volunteers. Jobs for many abilities.
Thursday Distribution
When: 4:00-6:00pm
What: Prepare, load and deliver wagons of food to families in our drive thru distribution. Spanish speaking volunteers needed to assist with check in.
Who: Highschool - Adult volunteers only. Court compelled volunteers welcome.
Please note this is a shift with standing and reaching jobs only. If you need a volunteer opportunity with the option to sit, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are a better fit!
Thursday Truck Unloading
When: 9:30-11:00am
What: Bag produce, unload delivery truck and stock shelves
Who: Highschool - Adult volunteers only. Groups welcome.
Please note this is a shift with standing and reaching jobs only. If you need a volunteer opportunity with the option to sit, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are a better fit!
